hello my moms house appraises for roughly 80,000 and she owes 35,000 she has been having dificulty finding a company to refinance that amount. most want 45,000 or higher. BUt she wants to take advantage of the low interest rates. If you know of a good and reputable company she could check into id appreciate it thanks.

I was looking at my credit card statement and at the end of all my purchases it says
Advance Purchase Balance and
Cash Advance Balance

I am not sure what the Advance Purchase means
Because a month ago my statement showed my balance, now it is showing another balance (exactly 100 dlls more than the preview one) and I haven’t use my credit card since then.

to the right of Advance Purchase balance it has an amount like one hundred and something, so do you know what is that mean? Do you think is that related to my balance increase?

I’m a creditor whose debt is secured by a real mortgage. I’ve received recently a notice that the debtor has filed for bankruptcy under chapter 7 of the US Bankruptcy code. What will happen to both my loan and my mortgage? Will I be enjoined from foreclosing the mortgage? The insolvent debtor by the way is an individual, not a corporation. Please prvide legal basis.

In Georgia (United States) is it illegal (equal housing or other requirements) to require a prospective tenant have a checking account in good standing?

I’m beginning to think that debit cards are just as bad as credit cards. I always hear of people complaining about how much overdraft charges are when they’re checking account goes into the negative. Have any of you experienced going into the negative more than once … maybe a lot? If you did, how did you deal with the problem?

Well, I have a very low Chexsystem score and my credit report isn’t looking great. I just need something for direct deposit, to have a card for online things. I would like savings, but it isn’t necessary. What online banks or banks in general will bypass the Chex score for a simple account?

My husband and I are new to the US ( green Card Holders). We believe in a ‘no credit cards’ way of life. The only obstacle we are facing however is our lack of a credit score in the U.S.

Does anyone have an understanding on this ? Is there anyway we can build a decent credit score within a 2 year time frame without the use of credit cards ?

For the record, we are not in debt, pay all bills on time and manage our finances pretty well by living within our means.
