I went to the IRS “where is my refund” website. They told me that my refund is supposed to be directly deposited into my checking account 2/4/11. It is 2/4/11 and I don’t have the money in my account. Does anyone know how long it typically takes a direct deposit from the IRS to process?

This is my first time using direct deposit from my part time job. Our payday was last Friday and it’s still not showing up on my bank account. Is this normal?

My employer said I’ll get paid on the 10th of every month.
The day I got the job I gave her all my banking details (4 weeks ago), and payday is on Thursday. I know that normally direct deposit means that you’ll get paid on midnight of that day but since its the very first time i’m doing this I want to know if my money will actually be there on Thursday.

My sister works for a movie theater in Santa Barbara, CA. She has been wanting to sign up for Direct Deposit for a very long time, and finally asked her manager for a form to sign up. They informed her that Direct Deposit is only available to management and not Floor Staff. Is it ok for a company to only offer Direct Deposit to some employees and not all? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I have to pay someone in another city, and I’m looking at options for doing so. I figure direct deposit would work the best, how does it work though? Do I have to set something up at the bank?

I just started my job but I filled out paperwork for direct deposit on the 16th of February. I am supposed to get my first paycheck the 11th of March. Will my direct deposit take effect already or will it not until the next pay cycle? My bank is Wachovia, btw.

I efiled my tax return on jan 26…it was excepted by the irs on jan 27 and showed an estimated direct deposit date of jan 3rd, then the date got pushed back to feb 10th, now today date got pushed back to feb 17th…..whats going on? is it going to continue to be pushed back over and over again?
