Debit Card Archives

Yahoo asks for credit card information to complete payment but my friend used a Visa debit card and yahoo also accepted it. But I can not do the same thing with my debit card. Why ?

Isn’t there some alternative to the credit card? Because my parents are hesitant about handing me the credit card, and why shouldn’t they be? Why do we have to pay to make an account?

I am planning to start a small business that would require people to pay online with credit cards. How do I set this up? Is it the credit card companies, or banks or someone else?

I’ve been reading about credit card companies changing terms when a late payment is made, but I’m curious as to what percent of accounts (and how many total accounts )that carry a balance is affected by this.

What are the things i should do after I choose a credit card? How to maintain the best credit score? How does credit score work? I want to know everything about credit card.

If you place a debit card next to a cell phone will it damage the debit card? Will having a cell phone next to a debit card cause the card to not work? Because i know when you place a card that unlocks a hotel room next to a cell phone the card will no longer work so will the same happen to a debit card?

I looked up my credit report and found that it was 544. Which is not that great. I recieved a credit card mailing and I think I should get it just to improve my credit. Also I got a phone plan just to improve my credit, I have paid the bill on time except for one month , how long will it take before these numbers reflect on my credit score. I’ve had the phone for about 6 months.

Month before the end of 0% APR on my credit card I received a notice of “Important Amendment on Credit Card Agreement”. After doing some research I still not sure should I select the option of rejecting this amandment or not. I know that if I will chose the rejection, my credit crad account will be closed. Doing so, how much it can affect to my credit record? Does this makes any difference to my credit score? I read somewhere “the longer you’ve had this credit card the more it will hurt your credit to cancel it…” how much truth in this?
Thanks in advance.

I have been unemployed for over a year. I have been able to keep up with all our credit card debt until now. I have tryed to call the credit card companys for help and they won’t help until I am way behind, I am trying to avoid this. What can I do to get them to drop the interest rates on our cards?

I have great credit 755 and want to get a secure credit card, would it hurt my credit?
