I previously had a checking account with a reputable bank, however I accidentally overdrafted my account. They gave me one week and closed my account as well as reported me to this “check-systems” thing where it might not allow me to get another checking account for a certain period of time because I’m a “risk.” Can anyone tell me where I can go to open a checking or savings account where they won’t check that?
I just got a job and i really want to start a saving/checking account so i can make sure i put some money away and save up. Is there a bank where i can start a checking account at 17?
I’m new to the whole bank thing (i have a student account with Bank of America). I know that theres a limit on the amount of times you can transfer money from your Savings Account (6 times, I believe), but does it also apply to when you’re transferring money from your Savings accound to yoru CHECKING account? Is there a fee involved?
Also, does anyone know the minuium amount of money you can have in your Savings? What happens if you go below the limit, or your Savings account is down to zero?
I am wanting to open a new checking account out of Lubbock, TX, and want to go to a bank that will not check my credit. I am getting ready to buy a house, and do not want them to lower my score at all. Please help!!
I won some American Express gift checks in a contest. I don’t have much of a use for them and they’re blank as of now, but if I write it out to my husband would be be able to deposit it into our joint checking account?
I’ve heard you can get screwed ordering things with paypal.
So tell me if this is a good idea. You get a second checking account and right before you are about to order something you deposit the cost. Then if some nutsack screws you they woun’t be able to steal all of your money and you can just cancel the account.
Is money they only thing to worry about someone stealing through paypal?
Should I get the separate account with the same bank?
I want to get a checking account so that I can safely store my money and use a debit card. Is there anyway that I can get a checking account at the age of sixteen? I have a boyfriend, whom I trust, at the age of eighteen who is willing to sign off and share the account. I was just wondering if that is even possible? If we can’t share the account, can it be solely under his name while I use a debit card from that account?
Hay people I opened my checking account with Wells Fargo on May 24, 2008 and an inquiry was added to my credit report why was that? Because I know that inquiries are added to peoples credit reports every time that people apply for credit but I didn’t apply for credit when I opened my checking account. I know its been past 2 years but I just keep on asking myself this same question.
I have a Bank of America personal checking account.
I have a music studio in my home where I teach some private lessons. I gave it a pretty name and a website. The name does not include any part of my name in it.
I haven’t registered the name for anything official. I’m going to get a EIN for taxes soon though.
Can I deposit a check written to the studio name to my personal checking account?
Thank you.
