I close on my current house in a week and I would like to move into the “short sale” house right away and rent it. I don’t want to put my stuff in storage or rent another place. But our buyer’s agent tells us that the bank does not want us to rent. There is something about “you cannot rent a short sale house.” I want to find out if that is true or not. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I understand a preforclosure means the bank has not yet taken possession (the owner still owns the house). but will the seller be easier to work with or the bank when it does become an actual foreclosure? If I wait, can I count on the bank listing at a lower price than what it is now listed at?

Do I? I have several thousand Mexican Pesos that I want to exchange for US dollars, but do I need an account with them? Can I Just go into a Bank of America location and trade my money?

We may have no choice but to do a short sale and would like to know what to expect going through it and what it is like for you now that it is done.

I just got hired as a teller for Bank of America and I have orientation tomorrow 8:30-4:30. I would like to know what to expect. Can former/current employees let me know what goes on during the orientation?

We are in a six month lease that is up in Spet. Our landlords informed us today they have or will be going into foreclosure. They say that we can continue to live here until the foreclosure goes thru or the bank “evicts” us. They say it can take an indefinable amount of time. How long can we live here? Is our lease no good? Will this “eviction” count as a real eviction, even tho it is thru no fault of our own? We live in California.

We are buying a short sale house. We put in our offer, the bank counter offered, we gave our final offer and they accepted. They said the offer now needs to go to the investors. What does this mean? What are the chances of them accepting it?

What type of license would I need to obtain for a foreclosure trash out service in Ohio? We may or may not hire subcontractors to perform some of the duties required to fulfill the job. Generally, we would just remove and dispose of junk and debris from the interior and exterior. But if the agent needs to have other more technical work performed we may need to bring in more specialized subcontractors.

I do not know whether I need just a business license or a general contractor license.

Bank of America ATM check deposits: how long does it take to clear?
I’m writing a check from my non BOA checking account and depositing it into my BOA checking account through the ATM. The ATM scans the checks electronically. Does that constitute an electronic transfer? Does that mean that the money comes out of my other non-boa checking account immediately? I remember usually it takes a few days for everything to clear. Please help
