I have a bank account and I have knowledge on stock trading. I have heard a little about people opening accounts at the age of 16 and 17 before. Are there any legal problems or tax issues I would have to deal with? I mean I can’t own stocks at the age of 16 but the online brokerage wouldn’t know about my age.

I want to sell my e-book from my website. I have no bank account and cannot get one. Is there any way for me to receive payments online and collect the cash? Can I get an anonymous debitcard and let customers deposit funds into that? I live in Spain. THX

Like if you pay a bill through your bank online or transfer to an external bank account. Things like that are done electronically they don’t have a person handling the transfer.

I would like to start my own art commissioning business online (selling my art to people online, them buying it and paying me online, and I ship it out to them, depending if it is a digital piece or traditional piece). However, there’s a small problem that’s blocking my way – how will my customers be able to pay me? I know there’s Paypal, but the thing is, I don’t *really* have a bank account right now, nor do I think I will be able to make one anytime soon. I also don’t want to resort to check/money order, because it’s such a hassle, and takes way too much time (plus, you never know if it could get lost in the mail or something). So I was wondering..does anyone know of a website in which I could use as a means of payment? Like, I want a website EXACTLY like paypal, but one where I don’t need a bank account to sign up to.

In paypal, when you sign up, you have to have a bank account so that all the money you get online goes directly from paypal to your bank account. I want a website which I could sign up WITHOUT a bank account – where it could store all the money I get from customers in its database until I do get a bank account to transfer the money to. I hope I don’t sound confusing. I just want something online that could keep my money safe until I can get an bank account, and at the same time, provides an easier method for my customers to pay me.

I went to www.zionsbank.com and put in my login ID, and it says its locked, on ALL computers!!

My father passed away and we need to put some of the life insurance money into a cd, money market or savings before we figure out what we are going to do with it. Countrywide is offering 4% on a jumbo online savings account. My mom would do POD on 4 accounts and one for herself so they would all be FDIC insured. I would be transferring the interest gained into a bank account every month. Is there any risk with countrywide?
